| This program addresses the needs of pregnant women, mothers, infants, children and adolescents in order to protect, promote and improve their health. During the current contract with the Department of Health and Senior Services, ACHD is focusing on decreasing the burden of tobacco and its impact on infant and maternal mortality and morbidity. SCRIPT is an evidence-based program shown to be effective in helping pregnant women quit smoking. ACHD offers SCRIPT to provide education to prenatal women along with any smoking partner that lives in the same house. ACHD has completed a new workplan for the next three-year grant cycle.
